Is elevenX Alt Image Manager really free?
Yes. The core plugin is free forever and available on WordPress.org. The Pro version adds AI-powered alt text generation for sites that need it. There is no time limit on the free plan.
What does the plugin actually do?
It scans your WordPress media library for images missing alt text, shows you an accessibility score, and lets you edit alt text inline from the dashboard. The Pro version can auto-generate descriptive alt text using AI.
Does it send my images to a third-party server?
No. Scanning is done entirely within WordPress — zero external API calls for the free version. The Pro version sends only the image to the AI service for alt text generation; no other data leaves your server.
Will it slow down my site?
No. The plugin runs only in wp-admin and has zero impact on your frontend. No scripts or styles are loaded for visitors.
What PHP and WordPress versions are required?
WordPress 5.0 or higher, PHP 7.2 or higher. Compatible with WordPress 6.7.
How do I get support?
Free users can get help on WordPress.org forums. Pro users get priority email support from our team. You can also contact us directly.
